Bart Friedman
Bart Friedman has been an attorney at Cahill Gordon & Reindel LLP for more than four decades and is currently senior counsel. During his tenure as a partner, he had chaired most committees at the firm. He has served (or is currently serving) on four corporate boards as either Chairman or Lead Independent Director across various industries including biotech, consumer goods, finance and insurance.
Bart has represented numerous corporate boards in the Fortune 500, including two in the Fortune 10, significant non-profit organizations, as well as a global multilateral institution. Also, he has served or is currently serving on the boards of over a dozen NGO’s including The Brookings Institution (Audit Committee Chair), Lincoln Center (Audit Committee Chair), The Juilliard School (Board Vice-Chair), Harvard’s Graduate School of Education (Visiting Committee), Guggenheim’s Works and Process (Board Chair) and as a member of the Membership Committee of the Council on Foreign Relations. He has been a Senior Advisor to Concordia since 2019.
He graduated from Harvard Law School and spent a year on the Research Faculty of Harvard Business School before joining Cahill.
