Dr. Bob Goldstein is the James L. Peacock III Distinguished Professor of Biology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. His research lab uses C. elegans to discover fundamental mechanisms in cell and developmental biology. Goldstein and his lab have also developed tardigrades (water bears) as an emerging model organism for understanding how living materials can survive extremes. Goldstein is also an adjunct professor of Art and maintains an art practice, using mostly printmaking to express ideas that don't easily find outlets in science.
