Hongkun Park
Hongkun Park is the Mark Hyman Jr. Professor of Chemistry and Professor of Physics at Harvard University, with affiliations in the Department of Chemistry & Chemical Biology, the Department of Physics, and Harvard Quantum Science & Engineering Program.
His research spans three core areas: quantum optoelectronics, nano鈥慴io interfacing, and quantum sensing and control. His group focuses on fundamental studies of nanoscale electrical, optical, and plasmonic devices that operate based upon quantum mechanical principles. They also develop new nano- and microelectronic tools that can interface with living cells, cell networks, and organisms.
Dr. Park earned his B.S. in Chemistry from Seoul National University, his Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from Stanford University, and conducted postdoctoral research at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. His honors include the NIH Director鈥檚 Pioneer Award, NSF CAREER Award, Ho-Am Prize in Science, Camille Dreyfus Teacher鈥慡cholar Award, and election as a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
