Stephan F. Miescher is Professor of History at the University of California, Santa Barbara. He is the author of A Dam for Africa: Akosombo Stories from Ghana (2022), Making Men in Ghana (2005), and the documentary film Ghana’s Electric Dreams (with R. Lane Clark). He is working on a book, tentatively entitled Ghana’s Inland Ocean: Ecologies and Infrastructures of the Volta Lake.
