Racial/Ethnic Distribution of Degrees in English Language and Literature

The representation of traditionally underrepresented racial/ethnic groups among students earning degrees from English language and literature (ELL) programs increased substantially from 1979 to 2014, but recent growth of the sort seen at the bachelor鈥檚 and master鈥檚 degree levels has not occurred at the doctoral level.
